chachi_arcola
I have one to sell with maybe 250 rolls through it, works perfectly but I don't use it anymore. I couldn't find any old ads on the classifieds to judge by. Thanks!Dominic
chinoloco93
If you check Ebay's completed listings, you will find it sells for 99-179.00. Good Luck.
michaelschrag
Try looking at KEH.com or Ebay. The EOS 5 runs about $150 for a body in EX condition.
HenryUK
In the UK an EOS 5 in excellent condition will fetch about GBP45 on eBay. The secondhand camera dealers ask for about GBP80. Such is the relentless march of digital that film cameras are worth almost nothing nowadays. This is great for me, as it means I can get to try out all those bodies I never thought I could afford. chachi_arcola
Yikes. Well, on the upside, I can get an EOS 3 for 1/4 of what it used to cost. Thanks for the replies, gents.
PuppyDigs
I sold my EOS A2 (EX) with grip, manual & 2 screens for $150 last year. I imagine it's worth even less this year... chachi_arcola
My crummy second generation DReb is probably worth more. How sad.
henry_ed_fly
The present value of an EOS 5 makes me want to keep it. Last year, I traded a very nice Elan IIE for a riding lawnmower. Maybe someone will offer me something good for the EOS 5. Still a great camera. Have the grip and manuals for it.
ronald_smith2
I have two A2 bodies (EOS 5 without the eye-controlled focus) and they will stay with me for the long haul. I have about 60,000 shutter cycles on each, no sign of them giving up at this time. They have little value on the used market, might as well keep using them - there hasn't been a film SLR that is as quiet as this one. In fact, I am soon to order a brick (20 rolls) of Kodak E100VS. I still enjoy shooting/viewing slides despite the high cost comapred to digital imaging.
cliff_henry
I have my EOS5 listed here: http://www.photo.net/gc/edit-ad-3?classified_ad_id=665551 Breaks down like this: Canon 50mm 1.8 w/hood $65. VG-10 grip $40. Majic Lantern book $5. EOS 5 body $149.
william_barnett_lewis
A bit later, but a current price point for the kit I've assembled since June is: A2E $34 VG10 $1 E1 Strap $5 50/1.8 $60 (holds value as a cheap portrait lens on DRebels) Book $12 Dropping like a rock - shipping can cost more than the goodie. I love being a film shooter these days :) William
