jay_bees
After reading some of the posts on the benefits of fluid mounting, I aminterested in trying the technique to help eliminate some of the mottled grainyappearance I get with my Nikon Scanner, particularly with Kodachrome. I would really like to see some good comparisons of fluid mounting vs. dryscanning with the Nikon 9000. Helpful folks here have provided pointers to a fewcomparisons, but I think it would be helpful to see some better comparisons. Ideally, I'd like to see a comparison of a Nikon 9000 dry vs. fluid mountedNikon 9000 vs. drum scan of the same slide. Preferably 35mm Kodachrome. Doesanybody know of any such comparisons on the web or does anybody have someexamples they can post here? Thanks!
john_brewton
Jay, there was a discussion going on in the Leica Users Forum (LUF) on drum scans versus others, you would have to do a search. Marc Williams was involved. I'm sorry I don't have more information on the thread.
joe_manthey1
The comparison that I've seen closest to what you want is here. Perhaps you've already seen it.
