Medium Format Mege-Site Down! medfmt.8k.com

Hi all,

 

I just noticed that Robert Monaghan's sprawling, grand-dady of all photo info

sites (medfmt.8k.com) is down. When you try to surf there this message comes up:

 

Site Temporarily Disabled

This site has been disabled. If you are the site owner please call

1-801-437-6060 between 10am and 6pm EST or login to resolve this issue.

 

Does anyone have any info on what's going on and who the current owners or admin

are? I think it would be a huge lose to let it go down and disappear forever.

Sometimes I hate how much time I waste digressing through it's cluttered mess,

but, oh man, it is also a treasure trove.

 

This fall I actually tried to track Robert down and contact him, because I was

trying to revive one of the old Bronica Yahoo lists that he owns. I found a

current, possibly working e-mail for him, but got no response.

 

Does anyone have info? Can anyone help?

Although it has been showing signs of being not kept very up to date, I also would like to see it continue. I don't know how often I've suggested it here to queries about MF.

 

The site has never had any advertising; maybe Robert has found it too demanding to maintain and pay for hosting. I for one would be happy to contribute to its continuance.

Like John suggested, I also would be happy to contribute to the site hosting fee to express my gratitude for making such a wealth of information available online and keeping it free of advertising. Robert's site is one of Internet's landmarks that should remain accessible for our own as well as future generations' sake.

 

If anyone knows how to contact Robert, please let us know.
