markfields
I am interested in the epson 3800. I know it does not take the roll feeder. If i used fine art paper where you have to use the single sheet feeder... (not the main regular one) can you print longer than 22' I mean if I cut down some 24 by 30 epson ultra smooth fine art or hahnemuhle or Moab. and make the paper 17 by 37.. will the driver print longer than 22" using the single sheet feeeder? I am interested in printing 16 by 24...using the fine art paper path. has anyone actually done this? many thanks in advance. mark

greg lockrey
Yes, no problem. I think it'll go to 34" with the canned driver. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong, but I would imagine with Qimage you can take way beyond the driver limits. You can go to 50 feet on a 9600, where the driver says about 20. I have a client who wants a 17x44" and I'm going to try to push it through the 3800 for fun, if not it'll go to the 9600 instead.
greg lockrey
BTW, the book for the 3800 does mention an Epson 16.5 x 23.4" paper that you can get and front load it into the printer. In the driver section it does show that you can user define paper up to 17 x 37.40"
