Nikon 120mm macro photos?

The photos of the daguerreotypes on my webpage on that subject, http://home.earthlink.net/~michaelbriggs/dags/dags.html, were taken with a 120 mm AM-ED Nikkor to 6x7 roll film and then scanned (click on the thumbnails for larger versions). I'm not sure how much good they will do you for judging the lens, since they were scanned with a Microtek scanner that was highly recommended at the time, but which I find to be rather unsatisfactory in quality. Almost all of the daguerreotypes shown are sixth plates, with images sizes of about 65 x 80 mm. The last pair, in a single case, are smaller.
