peter_hughes6
Well the day arrived.... I read the Canon 30D manual carefully....even read the Sandisk manual (?) I carefully followed all the instructions as this was my first DSLR and I knew I had to be careful....I slipped the battery charger out on Christmas eve and was all set. Finally I was ready for the first picture. My wife opening her presents.... Bonk! Error 05 the flash was blocked .. turn the camera off.. which I did repeatedly to no avail. I had literally blown it.. The Wife tried to help... 30+ years of photography down the drain. Finally I took out the battery and reinstalled and shazaam the 30D came to life and started taking pictures..... Is it always like this? Where is my D76 developer? where's my film hangers? :)

William Kahn
Peter, she probably didn't want any pictures of her in that pink bunny suit, anyway! Merry Christmas.....
phyrpowr
A battery re-install is the digital equivalent of giving it a good whack, glad it worked out Merry Christmas
