roger_michel
needless to say, all in fun. al, john, tipper and ally were all perfect gentlefolk (indeed, unusually gracious and well-mannered). but when i saw this sequence while reviewing my files, it just seemed to cry out for absurd narration! SolaresLarrave
Very nice job, Roger. You must have been fairly close to the action. No flash... or did you use it? Inquiring minds... Thanks for posting these pics!
roger_michel
hi -- i was using a superwide with metz flash in bounce mode. the available light was close to nil (i think i measured it a f2/ASA400/1/8th. most of the shots were taken from a range of 1-3 feet. i think there might have been some singed hair. and BTW, i wasn't kidding about the graciousness/amiability of these characters. i photograph a lot of people, and this group (al, john, tipper) was unusually patient and polite. they are classy (to use a horrible hackneyed expression) people. acidity
I like 'em. You have a true sense of seeing the comic aspect in daily life and it comes through in photos when you want it to. Thanks for the posts.

ap78
I'm a RI resident, and your first caption certainly got my attention. :-) It's not often any mention of Rhode Island makes its way on photo.net. Nice shots...and thanks for sharing.

Angelo
