herz1
Hello, I am a pinhole photographer having fun with Polaroid 4x5 52 and 79. Exposures from 2 seconds to 45 minutes. Anyone with experience scanning and printing these materials? Same size or 8x10. I also would like a software in which i could put together and design a book cover to cover. Thanks for any help. calebcondit
Software...well I would recomend Photoshop for cleaning up images and at least Quark or Indesign if not Illustrator as well. Quark and Indesign help you create a template for the book and printing, and Illustrator helps you create custom vector made text. Or just use provided text and use the layout programs. They'r fairly easy to use, just have some quirks in importing images. Talk to a graphic designer in your area and see if they would want to calloborate for their portfolio or something of hte sort. Design is normally best left to designers as photos are normally best done by photographers. If you do take on designing, think simple and fairly classic themes for fonts. You don't want to pick up the book 3 years from now and wonder what you were thinking using some nasty trendy font...
