Magnum digital photographers

I don't personally know anyone with Magnum but I work on Capitol Hill in Washington. Virtually 100 percent of news photographers shoot digital and have for probably five years or more. Occasionally you will see someone using film for some type of long-term magazine or book project but in terms of day-to-day news photography I can't recall the last time I saw anyone shooting film. The Senate Press Photographers Gallery, which is home to photographers shooting both the House and Senate despite its name, used to have three darkrooms. As of five years ago, two were shut down and the third was gathering dust. Not sure if it's even still there.

I haven't met him, but I know from reading about him that Alex Majoli uses the Olympus C series quite extensively. In 2004, I took one of Costa Manos' workshop. He was still reluctant to switch to Digital. I ended up switching to Leica M6 and bought one off of him :)
A year later, I met Alex Webb at a Seminar in Boston. He still had not switched at that time either.
-the shiva
