david_delmonte
We've just received an older Hasselblad T* 250 F4 lens from Adorama. This is intended to fit on a Hassie 501CM. We cannot figure out how to set the shutter speed. Is it a standard speed and you compensate with the use of f stop? Do you need a separate shutter? Something else? We'd appreciate any help. Many thanks David
q.g._de_bakker
David,

Have you bought this lens? If so, return it.
It has no shutter, and cannot be used on a 501 CM (nor on any other 500-series Hasselblad). Only on Hasselblads with focal plane shutter, from the 2000- or 200-series. leicaglow
The one you need for a 500 series camera, like the 501 CM, will be an f/5.6 version.
q.g._de_bakker
A full list of lenses you can use can be found here.
The ones under the headings "C", "CF", "CB", "CFE and CFi" and "ZV CLassic" will fit a 500-series Hasselblad. The "F" and "F/TCC - FE" ones have no shutter, and will not.

Sorry! No articles about or discusions of these lenses there yet. But you will find the Zeiss Lens Data Sheets of most of them there. Just click on the one(s) you're interested in.
