Recovering images from Lexar card

Recommended Posts

OK, so I'm a dummy and I accidentally erased a 2BG card during a wedding. I

was checking to see how much space I had left and accidentally formatted the

card. I put it up to use the Lexar image recovery software once I got home.

Now when I'm trying to recover the files I finds 1 or 2 then says "The

semaphore timeout period has expired". What does this mean and what do I need

to do? I also noticed that the couple of images I recovered don't see to be

woring properly. I tried converting them with Adobe DNG converter and it says

there are no supported files there.

'CF photo resuce' worked for me when my CF card got corrupted. Having said that I am very surprised that the Lexar recovery program did not work. Most camera formatting usually only deletes the file headers so unless you did more than format I would think that your Lexar program should work. It probably will not work via a cameara link so make sure you use a card reader.

Well I finally got the images recovered. Turns out that for some reason my XP firewall had something to do with it. I turned the firewall off and I had no more problems. Kinda strange since I started having problems transferring files from my cards a few weeks ago and hadn't changed anything.
