sknowles
Folks, if you plan to travel to Western Washington, especially to hike and photograph the National Parks or Forest Service lands, please be advised many roads have been washed out or access has been restricted due to landslides or other problems from the recent flooding. This is especially true of Mt. Rainier NP which is currently closed, see their News Webpage, and the road into the Hoh Rain Forest which has been washed out at this time.
You should contact the USFS-NPS ORIC for current information. They're located at the flagship REI store north of downtown Seattle.
sknowles
I hope this notice is helping folks. The NPS folks are conducting tours on weekends at 10am and 2pm at the Nisqually Entrance, varying the tour by the availability of access during the reconstruction of the roads into the Park. You can find additional information from Google News search, and the Tacoma News Tribune Sunday story.
