david_drennon
I'm looking to get a 2-reel tank to do some B+W developing, and I'm interested in the Jobo two-reel tank #1520, but I'm not sure if it is appropriate for agitation by hand. Anyone use it for this? Thanks.
Ed_Ingold
You can agitate by rolling, with the recommended fill volume. JOBO used to make a set of rollers that allowed you to do that on a table top. I don't think you can agitate by inversion, as with other daylight tanks. Make sure you have two reels in place, even if one is empty, to avoid over-agitation.
Fotohuis RoVo
The standard Jobo 1520 tank is suitable for agitation by hand but is standard equipped with one 1501 reel for 1X 135-36 or 2X 120 roll films, seperated by the Jobo red clip.(or 1x 220 roll film). To do 2x 135-36 films you need an extra Jobo 1501 reel. To do automatic rotating on a Jobo CPE/CPA/CPP you need a different top and a magnet to put on the bottom. For inverse development the minimum volume for this tank is 485ml but 500ml is also fitting without any problem. You can extend the 1520 tank with the 1530 module for more film capacity and spare parts are available (e.g. red cap/lid). http://shop.fotohuisrovo.nl/index.php?cPath=44&osCsid=edc0492cb23776abd84524351f4ddaff Best regards, Robert
