Just a quick question in relation to Photomatix. I have read a few reviews on

this software and its HDR applications.

I currently have PCS2 and I am wondering if the Photomatix would be a

worthwhile investment and workflow tool to achieve the HDR images I am after.

Does/has anyone here taken the step and invested in this software...any feed

back would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have Photomatix, and to me it's a worthwhile tool for HDR, but I don't have CS2.

If I had CS2, I'd certainly look into its HDR features, and first figure out what it can and cannot do for me, then go from there. Do you know exactly what it is that CS2's HDR features doesn't give you that you think Photomatix might?

You'll find more info and workflow articles about Photomatix on Digital Outback Photo.

Uwe from DOP is currently infected with HDR bug :-)

People from hdrsoft/Photomatix visit the DOP HDR forum.

Excellent article, that will probably answer your question, here: http://www.naturescapes.net/072006/rh0706_1.htm

Photomatix is worth trying. It has a free trial so you can't lose any money where HDR images are created with a watermark. There are some limited non-watermarked functions that are permanently free which may be sufficient for what you want to do.

<p>Hello,<br>

I have also written a <a href="http://stock-background-texture.com/2010/07/06/photomatix-review-hdr-review/">review of Photomatix</a>. I compared results using 3 bracketed images. The programs featured were Photomatix Pro, Photomatix Light, the Photomatix Plug-In for Photoshop and 2 free programs. There is also a coupon code for a 15% discount on any version.</p>
