ldallara
I've had a problem with Transcend 2 Gig 80X card and my new D200. Has anyone else had problems with Transcend cards? I've used them in all my other Nikons D70, D2h etc and no problems. I returned the card and they sent a new one, but I'm not sure I want to use it. I got burned and lost some pics on a photo shoot with the last one and no it was a counterfeit one... don_cooper
Cards from each and every manufacturer go bad. Not very common, remember you only read about the problems, not the cards that don't go bad.
ldallara
Good Point, but I've never had a card go bad in 5 yrs. Some folks might think it's a compatibility issue. Maybe its not 80X? i'll check out robgalbraith, he got a lot of card data.
leicaglow
Louis, I don't think Transcend is a brand that is recommended in the D200 manual. Not that others don't work, but worth noting.
Ed_Ingold
Some CF cards simply don't work in all Nikon cameras. I have a 2G SimpleTech card that will not work in a D2h, but works fine in a D2x. Go figure! You are safe with Sandisk and Lexar cards with Nikon. Anything else is a gamble. Cards can go bad or be corrupted and unreadable - whatever. Maybe you can use this card somewhere else. ldallara
Thanks Guys, that what I think, move on to Lexar, I got some and they work fine, but funds are tight. I'll try and sell the card. Thanks Again Lou
michaelbrochstein
FWIW, I've used Lexar & Sandisk cards since 2003 in three different Nikon DSLR models and have never had a problem with any of them. Nikon has a list of approved cards for each model on their website.
