mad reilly
Well I got the flash. From what I read on this site and the mir site and asking around, I chose the Speedlight 199A. IT'S MASSIVE! But I like the fact you can angle the head. I blew through a ton of film and got some really good shots (some bad one's too). Happy Halloween! Boooooo!<div></div>
mad reilly
Just a note, the pic looks better on paper than digital. I'm still trying to figure out the scanner
crabseye
I bought this flash in the early 80s and still have it. I use it with a Canon A-1. Very competent flash.
Jeffrey L.T. von Glück
The 199A isn't bad, but I've used a 299T with my F-1n and A-1 for years. You have a greater range of f-stops to choose from (f/2 through f/22, I think), tilt-and-swivel head, adjustable zoom (out to 28mm), etc. A much more versatile unit, if you can lay your hands on one.
