tonylarcombe
The Knot ! Do you use them, how do you rate them ? I'm getting constant phone calls to sign up, the basic price is $105 a month, that's a leap for me, but I'm getting more and more tempted..... Who has signed up for this basic price, how many calls do you get, success rate, etc..... I know it depends on what area you live/work, mine in Malvern PA, would be classed in the 'Philadelphia' category of TheKnot. Tony.
allen_d.
I got a lot more calls when I was at the lowest bracket than now since there were fewer people there - 1 page. Now I'm in the next bracket up sharing space with 4 pages of other photogs. Not nearly as effective ad space now. I get much more hits on my website from google ads than the knot. I can't really say which produces better leads though. I really don't know if I'll continue with the knot next year.
gerald_donnelly
I did theknot.com for 2 1/2 years & dropped them. I got alot of calls & emails, but I had to weigh expense vs performance. They raised their price every year & I feel I'm doing beter spending the advertising money elsewhere.
wedding-photography-denver
I get nothing much from them and I pay $2,500.00 a year for the privilage, heh. Not exactly good value, but it gives some exposure and you have to choose whether or not your ad. dollars are best place there or ...?
stacy
We were on the Knot for probably 2 years and it did get us some business so we could start building a reputation etc. I think we out priced ourselves though so we don't use them anymore. It's VERY hard to get your ad cancelled- it took many emails and a couple of phone calls too- so be warned about that!
jgrim8
Same here. I had to pull teeth to cancel my account and they acted like it was a sin.
