alexandru_petrescu
I don't know. This, together with the lens manuals - one can't find on the net. One may get someone else to scan a copy, or search on the peer-to-peer networks. Or look at the numerous ST-E2 reviews.
What would you like to know about ST-E2? Specs? USage? Troubleshooting?
The ToC in the manual looks like this:
Nomenclature
Readying the ST-E2
Readying the SPeedlite (slave stting)
Basic Wireless E-TTL II/E-TTL Autoflash Operation
Wireless Multi-Flash E-TTL II/E-TTL Autoflash Operation
Applications
Troubleshooting
Specifications
michael_ziegler2
Alexandru, thanks. I just received a new unit and do have the manuel. I wanted the pdf file for my office computer where I could browse it from time to time. I do have a question though, I noticed when I set my 580 or 550 to slave mode, the IR beam keeps blinking. Is this normal? I've never used to slave mode before, so this is new to me.
PuppyDigs
Yes it is. It indicates slave operation. Sometimes the light’s all shining on me. Other times I can barely see. - Robert Hunter

eosdoc
The blinking light can be used to help aim the slave SENSOR towards the master CONTROLLER.
