steve_brantley2
I currently use Photoshop Elements 3.0 and save images to a CD when I want to print images at the local Wolf (Ritz) Camera store. I would prefer to just save the "images to print" on a memory stick or CompactFlash card, instead of using CDs, but I cannot find an Elements command that lets me "Save To" a CF card, etc. Perhaps the ability to do so is there, but so far I haven't found the right approach. I only see comands such as Export, Move, Duplicate, Backup, etc., but attempts thus far to experiment with them have not proven successful. Any direction would be most appreciated. Thanks. Ed_Ingold
If you are using a card reader, the computer sees the CF card as a disk drive, complete with drive leter. You can "save as" to that drive from any program that lets you save a file. If the card is in a camera connected to the computer, the same should be true, but there are no guarantees. The simplest and safest solution is to get a card reader. The camera will usually not be able to display any images you upload to the card. phoneguy
Are you using windows or mac? It is a simple drag and drop action from windows explorer. Open windows explorer/folder with pics/ Drag the pics you want to the drive called EOS (Canon). Very simple action. Mike
mendel_leisk
Just to chime in: you don't have to deal with the files within Elements. Files are files, it doesn't matter that they are graphics files. Get a card reader, if you don't have one already, and with the card in the reader you're basically just looking at one more drive, with files on it. You need to get familiar with your file system, learn file copy, move and delete basics. If it's a Windows system, "Windows Explorer" is the interface you want to be in, to start with. I look forward to mastering this simple procedure, which has until now, proven to be elusive. Oh my, how I have lots to learn about Photoshop. Regards.
