pontus_lindqvist2
Is there any way to show a histogram in Bridge while you are browsing photos? Consider the following scenario: I have been shooting digital in a difficult light and have then bracketed +/- 1.0 step. I now want to select a picture to start working with. As soon as I open up bridge it starts automatically adjusting all pictures. Yes, I know I can turn the auto-adjust off, but if I want to use a histogram to evaluate the exposure instead of my eyes I don't know how to achieve this without actually opening the pictures in Raw. Any good tips? BTW, I am guessing that both Light Room and Aperture does this but unfortunately I am sitting on a PC platform (I can't believe I wrote that). godfrey
I've not found any way to show a histogram in Bridge. Open the files in question with Camera Raw and set Camera Raw's preferences to turn off the Auto adjustment settings. It's the only way to know what the RAW data looks like anyway ... any histogram generated by looking at the data based on the JPEG preview files is giving you a histogram of the JPEG rendering used in the preview. zjimages
No, histograms can't be viewed in Bridge (unfortunately) but here's a possible solution for you: In Bridge do a multiple selection of the images you want to compare by holding down the control key and selecting each shot. Then double click any one of your selected images. Camera Raw will open and display the selected shots in light table fashion and the first image will be displayed in the large viewing area. From there you can click on any of the images and view their histograms as well aas make the typical RAW corrections. Have fun! -ZJ
