Will Polaroid 545i Exposure Check Work with 617 Art Pan 120 Film Back?

Hi, All,

Heading to Big Bend soon to try out my new 617 Art Pan 120 Film Back

(on Shen Hao 4x5 Field Camera...all purchased from Badger Graphic).

QUESTION: Should I be able to use the typical Polaroid

545i "exposure check approach" to confirm shutter/ aperture settings

with the 617 120 Back, in the same way that one uses Polaroids to

confirm exposure for regular 4x5 film (e.g., Velvia 100).

REASON: Since the 617 120 film plane is further from the regular 4x5

film plane, will there be enough light falloff to make a difference

in the exposure? Should I just rely instead on spot or incident

light metering?

I must be missing something here, so thanks in advance for any

comments,

Robt.
