joseph_wang3
I went to the camera shop today and found that the first lot of this lens are all sold, I ended up with the money in my pocket rather than the lens. Does anyone have the first experience of using this lens ?
tom_madilao
Joseph, I bought the lens several weeks ago. So far I have only managed to shoot a roll of film. Regards Tom

al_kaplan1
These days, Joseph, consider yourself lucky just to live near a camera shop that actually carries real cameras. The 15/4.5 VC sure is fun, though.
mingus1
What Al said is true, I live in Germany and, other than buying of the Net, trying to actually touch and feel a Carl Zeiss lens at a (Local) shop is pretty hard these days, and by local I mean something within the 250km range.... I bought my CZ lenses on intuition, the Planar on my Hasselblad is my favorit lens, my Contax G" were all top notch, and nowadays being made by Cosina the CV lenses I own are pretty well manufacture... so based upon thes thoughts and ordered the 25, 35 and 50 online ... I am thinking about the 15 wondering if this one matches my style of photography, and if then maybe the CV 15 will be a more economical choice seeing that I won't use it much anyway.... Anyway I like the Zeiss lenses, I must be one of the few that bought a Leica to "furnish" zeiss lenses ...
arthuryeo
If you live in the US, why don't you get it from B&H or Adorama?
jorge_torralba2
shphoto.de has them brand new for 3700.00 including the finder and center filter. I am waiting for my tax refund so I can buy one from Boris.
stuart_richardson
I saw one at Tony Rose's the other day. He may have some still, but that particular one may have been sold. It is quite an impressive lens. It is lighter than it looks though, which I think is a good thing in this case. The build quality is very solid, it is just lighter than something like the noctilux, which is a similar size.
