brambor Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Do you want to play the editting game? Here are two processed shots ofa street performer. I will include links to the unprocessed files. Ifyou want to play then download them, edit them the way you'd want theshot and then post them back with a description of steps you undertook. The unprocessed files will be available only for a few days.
<imgsrc="http://www.widereach.net/rodina/images/portfolio/bostonsubway1.jpg">
<imgsrc="http://www.widereach.net/rodina/images/portfolio/bostonsubway2.jpg">
Unprocessed at this url:
http://www.widereach.net/images/temp/IMG_1202.JPG
http://www.widereach.net/images/temp/IMG_1203.JPG Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
monkey Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Rene, that's a great shot - you're very brave letting butchers like me play with it!
I cropped it slightly differently to you, I like a landscape shot. I've also faked the depth of field - to concentrate on his eyes, which I've lightened a little.
After all that, I think I prefer your version!!!

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
brambor Posted February 20, 2006 Author Share Posted February 20, 2006 Monkey, that's a good version. I, too have played and contemplated leaving the end of the passing train in the frame. It makes it more 'street', I suppose while the texture of the vertical lines add's a nice touch. I have just printed the second pic (the vertical) and it looks better on a print than I thought. It actually surprised me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
jja Posted February 20, 2006 Share Posted February 20, 2006 Monkey's is great, and I might not change a thing. For whatever reason, I'm drawn to horizontal perspective, even when vertical would otherwise make more sensse. My crop and tilt would look better if the guy's chin was out a bit more. It's all for fun anyway:

Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
brambor Posted February 20, 2006 Author Share Posted February 20, 2006 Juan, I like how the trumpet goes diagonal corner to corner. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

jja Posted February 21, 2006 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Rene and the rest, is my edit too cliché? Seems a little so now that I'm looking at it again. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
monkey Posted February 21, 2006 Share Posted February 21, 2006 Juan, clichéd? No. I really like the tilted version.
Thanks again Rene, I love playing around with other people's work, especially when it's such great quality.
Cheers! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
