andrey_maslov2
Hi,Can anybody expain me why price range is so huge on 5D - from $3.299(Adorama/B&H) to $1999.Has anybody tried to bye 5D for $2000 ?Normally I prefer buying important stuff from Adorama/b&H, but $3000 means "Wait" for me, while $2000 means GO.Thanks,Andrey
medina photography cherry
if you are getting that price from a different company I would beware. There are alot of dishonest companies out there that change their name from week to week. I would stick with Adorama or B&H or your local store. paul -
<i>"Has anybody tried to bye 5D for $2000 ?"</i><p>The only "bye" will be "bye-bye" to your $2000. ;-p
kai_griffin
The only "GO" should be "GO in the opposite direction". Don't get conned out of your money!
mcgarity
If the cut rate shops don't steal your money outright, they probably sell the camera for $2000 but charge another $1500 for all the accessories that come with it. And then they are likely going to hit you up for a couple of hundred for shipping. Didn't there used to be a link on here about Brooklyn camera stores and the scams they pull? aaron_lam
I can't believe people still post questions like this. Oh well. Better posting than actually buying from them. <p> <a href=http://www.photo.net/equipment/where-to-buy#screwed>http://www.photo.net/equipment/where-to-buy#screwed</a> <p> <a href=http://www.photo.net/neighbor/view-one-about?id=2&about=Brooklyn+Camera+Exchange>http://www.photo.net/neighbor/view-one-about?id=2&about=Brooklyn+Camera+Exchange</a>
mike_h3
Here's a guy who actually photographs Brooklyn storefronts. Take a look if your bargain dealer is located there. It's pretty amazing: http://donwiss.com/pictures/BrooklynStores/
PuppyDigs
It will be permanently on backorder, but they will charge your card and curse at you everytime you call to check on your order. mike butler
Most of the legitimate/reputable dealers like Calumet, B&H, Adorama, KEH, are selling the 5d at $3,000 now, give or take $50. They list it at $3,299, but it will become the lower price once you add it to your cart or e-mail them for the "secret handshake" price.
