twmeyer
Not going to get the Nikon SG-3IR after all... been using the pop up in Commander mode turned off so that only the pre-flash fires. mjt
there are STILL remnants of pre-flash when using the onboard pop-up flash to fire the remotes. a heck of a lot more expensive than the plastic hanging street light on your camera, there is this option: http://www.adorama.com/NKSU800.html?searchinfo=nikon%20su%20800&item_no=2 it's not a flash, but a commander, wireless and lightless. personally, even with the minimal pre-flashes, people are known to be "surprised" by the onboard - either they have a surprised look, closed eyes, and light-fall ... regards, michael
