charles barcellona www.bl
Travis, I really liked the first shot of the beach (vacation), this one, to me, looks a little flat (but beach lighting often is). The lone palm frond hanging down in the top middle seems out of place too.
I wonder if the right filter would have jazzed the sky a bit more and added some better seperation in the sand.
I'm being rather picky... I'd say its overall a quite decent, but not outstanding image.
travis2
thx charles...it was the best i could do at that time...really hot and humid and shiny...i had to hide under the tree shade to shoot this..
my eyes were squenching??...the best i could do..really. john_chan2
best I could do. really..
Travis, don't ever say that when you know your capable of much better. Apologizing for shoddy technique is a birthcry for stagnation. How can you make the shot better next time?

kristian dowling
I really like it, though I would've cropped out the distracting branch at the top of the frame, or included more for effect. Good work. You obviously have a great eye for B&W. One I am still struggling with.
