jason hinds - columbus, oh
When I shoot in RAW with my 300D (with the Russian hack), I'm also saving Large/Fine JPGs along with the RAW file. However, when I put the card into my computer's card reader, the only thing I can see are the RAW files. Where are the JPGs stored?
andrew_carlson
with the 300D the rebel embeds the jpgs in the raw file I believe. I also recall a .thm file which had exif and small jpg thumbnails but its been so long since I've looked at 300D files I could be mistaken. chrisjb
I aree with Andrew, once downloaded check your software for `extract embedded jpeg`, I use Breezebrowser with the old D30.Cant find it in current version of ZB but using 20d gives 2 seperate files good luck
iskandar_azaman___kuala_lu
Like the others have mentioned, the JPEG's are embedded in the RAW files which is a nuisance. I had the same problem with my G6 and used Breezebrowser to extract it. Now i've got the 20D and PSCS2 and ACR i don't even shoot with the JPEG files any more (eventhough the 20d produces a separate file). It is a waste of space on my card. I shoot purely raw and i can quickly save everything in JPEG using the image processor in bridge which is a lot less hassle then extracting the jpeg files.
