mike_willis1
Where on ebay, I searched all over it?
peter_white2
I find it to be one of the best reasons to prefer the New F-1 to the original. The original Speedfinder didn't have the rubber eye cup. The other reason, as if anyone cares, are the spot metering screens, and the super bright focusing screens in general. jtk
Better than the original: Cut two matching leather circles of the eyecup outer dimension from an old shoe. One needs an aperture to fit the inside of the finder's attachment ring, the other needs to feature a slightly smaller aperture. Fit the inside piece onto the finder, apply Barge Cement (a shoemaker's rubber cement that's very tough and stays flexible) to the other leather ring, clamp the two together to dry with paperclips. mike_willis1
Actually I found out the hard way that I clicked on a buyitnow on the big auction site and ended up with a Old F1 speedfinder, so I did luck out and win another auction for a F1N speedfinder, with eyecup and case. Now to contemplate if I should buy an Old F-1 to go with the mint speedfinder that is just sitting there.
