esme_james
i have seen a generic battery on ebay that says it can be used for the rebel XT. it goes for around $20 which i beleive is cheaper than buying the canon battery. however, i think i remember the camera manual saying that you can only use canon batteries with the battery pack. does anyone have any experience with this? thankyou

Charles_Webster
Check out www.sterlingtek.com. I have two of their batteries for my DRebel and they're great. Good prices too. <Chas>

phoneguy
I have 5 sterlingtek's, and they have been great. $12 each, and the charger cost roughly the same. Their customer service is excellent. I third the sterlingteks. Mike

franky_sze
I noticed the generic brand doesn't have good battery life compare to the branded one. The capacity performance degrades faster. It doesn't come free. However, price of 3 generic batteries is one branded one. It is your choice. <p> -Franky<br>
