kirk_teetzel
I saw it for the first time a few months ago, but it was on the Sundance Channel again not too long ago. Basically the bar owner took photos of everybody who came in the bar over many, many years. Some really good stuff, IMO. I'll attach a link to a slide show of samples from the doc. Caution, it's flash. http://homepage.mac.com/stefannadelman/terminal_bar/slideshow/TB_slide show.html
agardner58
Wow...I'd like to see that. I drank in that bar (on occasion) in the late 1970s-early 1980s. Times Square (and all of NYC) was a very different place back then. I can remember nights heading home south on 8th Avenue past the Sun Hotel down the block, past crowds of prostitutes, pimps, drunks. Unfortunately I never carried a camera with me to those places (too chicken...plus, it really was dangerous, and I would have probably either lost it or gotten mugged). I also spent time down on the other strip south of Penn Station on 8th ave...the Penn Terminal, Gus' Bar...what a crazy time that was! I'm glad that that someone had the courage to document this. john falkenstine
I looked at ALL of the pictures. Some things have changed a lot, some have not. The quality of the photographs is quite good.
frank.schifano
Reminds me of the days when I pushed a hack up and down those mean streets. Those faces are all too familiar.
