billfoster
The Balsam Fir Adelgid and the hemlock woolly adelgid are non-native bugs that have killed as many as 80% of the fir (higher elevations) and hemlock (lower elevations) in the Smoky's. The situation is so serious that they are now taking steps to preserve the species in case every tree in the park is killed.<div></div>
