emanuel_lowi1
I predict that at the M8 launch, Leica will also unveil a new ultra-compact 28/2.8 ASPH lens, and a super-duper (and pricey!) multi-finder for the new tri-focal ultra-wide for the digital camera. vinay_patel
They will have to make a 16-18-24 finder for the FILM bodies if they hold true to their promise that all new lenses will as well be suitable for full-frame, but the existing 21-24-28 finder would offer a very close approximation on the M8. I think the (re)appearance of a 28/2.8 is less likely, but who knows?
jtdnyc
Vinay, shouldn't that be a 16-18-21 for the film bodies?
vinay_patel
Yes, typo, my bad.
andy_piper2
I can't comfirm the 28 one way or the other - but the trifocal 16-18-21 lens has its portrait up over at the rangefinderforum... and the new finder does, too - it covers both film and digital framing - it's a 28-24-21-18-16 finder - with brightlines - and a bubble level - and parallax correction - and it ain't small, either. Looks like something Leica Geosystems would design to go on a surveyor's tripod....
