I uploaded a picture to the critique forum. Shouldn't I be able to

find this photo in the top photos if the rating is high enough? It

has been less than three days, the rating is high enough, and yet I

can't find it. Any idea why?

Because it didn't get more than five anonymous ratings in the rate recent category. Just read the previous posts in feedback and you will eventually understand the ratings system. Complicated but not unfair.

Yes, but you haven't read how the system works. I have cut and pasted above, that you have five in total but some will have rated in the by category rating. This doesn't count. You need to read the posts until you find where Brian explains it all.

It would be very helpful if someone would provide a link to where this confusing and sometimes outrageously unfair rating system is explained in full.

 

I simply cannot get a decent rating on *anything* I post because someone always comes along and - regardless of the quality of the photo - *always* gives it a 3/3.

 

A link to a full explanation would be very much appreciated. I'm really starting to think that a very small number of people select what photographs are considered good and which are not.
