shootme
I got a canon 20D, I would like to buy this lens, but I have heard of focusing problems with the 20D. Any comment regarding this will be most welcomed, thank you all in advance. Walter.
beauh44
Hi Walter, It works fine on my 10D, 20D and 1Ds Mark II. Focus is spot on, nice and sharp and a heckuva lot cheaper than its Canon counterpart. If you're still concerned just get it from a reputable dealer who'd let you exchange or return it if you have any problems. Good luck!
marknagel
There is lens variation, I'd recommend testing BEFORE you buy. Find it locally and in stock, even it it costs a bit more. M
waynelittle
use one on my 20d, and it is spot on. (macro version) regards wayne
ricardob
It's the lens that's on my 20D most of the time. Extremely versatile and I consider the images made with it superb. I've never regretted that purchase. Rich
peta
Walter I had this lens for my 20D and had to return it... I loved the bokeh etc but I had to use it at an event and needed flash, I lost 50% of my images due to focusing issues. I had not read the various reviews which stated this could be a problem with it and the 20D. I bought the Tamron 28-75 2.8 to replace it, it has rarely left my camera, a very nice lens. jojo_ma
24-70 range, f2.8 throughout, excellent build, fast AF (albeit noisy), sharp and contrasty, and all for $360? Nothing like it, period.
chrisjb
Hi, the earliest macro model had a focus problem when using flash. and was not compatable with the AF IR unit,Sigma corrected the problem and replaced the Flex board. Mine was good and does a great job.
