fotografz
Okay, I've got it figured out. I'd invite ALL of you to my wedding and put cameras on the table (NO, not Leicas!). Bet you couldn't help taking a couple of pics. Yea, that's it. Cameras on the table, and a hundred different shooters ! A passel of Pros at every table : -)
lb-
I was at a weddding last year (as a guest) and there were 9 other professional photgraphers there as guests (4 of them were full time wedding shooters). it was pretty funny. The irony was that we all spent so much time chatting with each other we hardly took any pictures.

Spearhead
<a href="http://www.charlesgatewood.com/">Charles Gatewood</a> photographed the wedding of a photo.netter, he would probably be my choice now if I wasn't happily married now, especially since he's local. colleendonovan
That's so funny about the cameras ont hetables Marc!!! I had a lady call me today and tell me that they wouldn't need any pictures at the reception because they were going to put cameras on each of the tables so their guests could take 'all those pictures'!!! Huh???
fotografz
Okay, the real answer, which I've said before. Since I know more about wedding photography than I did back when I got married, and I have the means now I didn't have then, I'd fly in Mary Ball and Jeff Ascough ... (but I'd beg Jeff to use his Leicas, or mine, and shoot film). Mary for the lyrical feminine beauty of her images, and Jeff for his decisive moment candids and design. All B&W except a few color shots of dresses and flowers.
steve_levine
I'd get Monte Z, out of retirement.
stacy
Ahh- I just talked someone into modeling for some Guy Bourdin inspired wedding shots-legs only though...I need to find the perfect shoes! How fun :)
agardner58
<p>I'm not a wedding photographer (but I do know what I like)...and if by some chance I ever get married again, I'd hire Reina McCuskey: <a href="http://www.merematt.com/" target="_blank">http://www.merematt.com/</a>. Seeing her work made me appreciate wedding photography, and lurking on this forum (if not actually shooting weddings!)</p>

susan_flewelling
I think I would say Yervant. I have met him a few times and I think he would be easy to work with. Although I think I would rather have a woman shoot so maybe a female Yervant if possible.
think27
Marc - you just warmed my heart and made me smile.. "lyrical feminine beauty" - wow - cool phrase - can I use it? Well - I named you because I know you'd be fun to work with, know how to capture "the mood" and your understanding of lighting, composition and PS is unsurpassed! fotografz
Oh my God Reina, I am so embarrassed. We've exchanged information here for all this time and I never looked at your work. Simply beautiful, and the use of available light is absolute mastery. Pure magic to look at and to be inspired by. Question ... did you scan your web site pics from prints, or directly from the negatives?
r.m.
OK...cut it out...I'm blushing to no end now...:) Marc, it depends on how much time I have, but I usually just scan the image from the print. My labs do a very nice job of printing and so I'll just scan the print on a flatbed at a very high resolution and fiddle with it in PS a bit (mostly dust spotting & unsharp). Starting this year, I'm having everything scanned at high res and put on CDs... It's a little dark and dreary out today in the NE. Thanks to you and Andrew for a boost in spirits! fotografz
Helmut Newton and Herb Ritts? It would probably be nice if the photographer you wanted for your wedding was alive : -)
EricM
that's why I said it would be nice if Ritts would join us too...not sure if Christiaan is aware. Avedon too. HCB can wander around in the background docu style. And Elivis and Sinatra can sing.
jaimie blue
In that case we might as well get married in Vegas, in the old Flamingo, or my very childhood favorite...The now gone Sands.
christiaan_phleger___honol
Oh yeah, I'm aware alright...I said Helmut because I thought that the topic started to include 'past' photographers. I also thought about saying Suze Randall teaming up with Earl Miller, but that would probably not be appropriate in this forum, wink wink nod nod....
