simus
Hi to everybody, I have seen in a shop in the town where I live a black M6 with leitz logo. Theserial number begin with 170, it has its own box with matched serial number. They sells at 1,500 euros that is about 1900 US$. Tha camera is in very goodcondition without scratches. it still has the bottom plate transparent plasticbut it is going to detach. The base plate is, anyway, like new. Is it offered at a fair price? mark_theken
This camera would sell in the USA for $1000-$1100. A price of E900-950 would make it a reasonable deal at a fair price. I am sure a forum member can offer you a M6 for that price. Keep in mind the M6 you described is 20 years old and most likely needs to be serviced. Good luck, Mark
john_r._fulton_jr.
That is an old Leitz M6. There are quite a few around. However, like mine, many have been serviced and have a new Leica red dot put on them. If this one is 'as new' then it's for collectors who want that 'original' M6. It's much too much money for a camera you're planning on using. A really clean, nice user should be about half that. Good luck.
Richard Williams
Here in the UK, prices are rather higher than in the US, but there are still plenty of nice M6s at dealers for less than 1200 EUR (including UK VAT sales tax), and some for less than 1000 EUR (in slightly worse condition). How important are the cosmetic condition, Leitz logo and box to you?
simus
Thank you for your replyes, I am mainly interested in the Leitz logo version. I was thinking to use it carafully (in order to keep it without scratches etc..) and at the same time keep it as collector's item I could resell in the future without looseing money. I have seen on ebay and it sells around 1600-1900 $. Antonio
