I am wondering if any of you Leica users out there have ever submitted photos to Leica Fotografie magazine. If so, how did you present the work, CD, Prints? Do you know if the magazine pays for the use of photos? Generally what where your experiences.

This past year I sent them (Leica Fotographie) a 10 image

photodocumentary of my sons birth. Part of a series I shot that

started at the admitting room and finished in the O.R. (the

possibility of a ceaserian loomed). Very positive response except for

two shots that they considered to 'risque' for their readership. One

was a photo (BTW all were B&W) of my wife in the hospital shower, from

the side, pretty tame IMO, but they claimed their readership tends to

be older and very conservative. Anyway I went them the photographs

initally by e-mail (JPEG) and heard back within a week. They have

asked for 'real' prints, but have said that they are booked for at

least 2 years and it will be at least that long before I see anything

in print
