daveish182
Hi,I'm looking for a better light meter and was wondering if anyone had any ideas.Cheap as possible (i'd probably try and buy secondhand) with reflective and possibly ambient reading and a digital read out. Thanks, Dave
m_gorman
Hi I got a Polaris digital light meter it has reflective, ambient and flash all for less than $150 new! Have had it for several years and has worked fine. I think Shepard is the company that makes Polaris light meters. Check B+H for new/used Good luck
klix
Do you really need digital read out? If not, the Gossen Luna Pro is a classic. There are lots of Gossen Luna Pro meters on ebay, and they're going at incredibly low prices. I have a Gossen Luna Pro S, which IMO is the best light meter for low light photography. The Sekonic meters are very nice, just like Gitzo tripods are very nice -- they come with a not-so-cheap price tag. KL
robert lee
I use a Gossen DigiSix. Cheap, light, small, rugged. Works well enough.
