brit
Hi I've read a lot of posts on Photo.net concerning 545 polaroid backs and compatability with quickloads. One thing I noticed was that all the posts that specified a back specified either the 545 i or the 545 pro. Nobody really commented on the use of the older 545 land backs wrt this use. Can anybody make an experienced and judged comment about this use?
tedharris
Works fine. The specifications of the three backs are essentially the same. The i has mor eplastic parts and is a lot lighter and the pro is an i with a built in thermometer and timer
brit
Thanks Ted! Not even Robert White could answer that one.
jeff bishop
I have the older 545 polaroid back. I contacted Fuji to insure that their film would fit into my back. They said it would so I ordered it. I got the FP-3999B45 4x5 sheet film; just as they suggested. It didn't fit at all. I ended up with a box of (to me) worthless pack film. Of course the package was ripped open before I knew it was wrong. From now on it's the safe route for me. Polaroid Back? Get polaroid film! Spending a little more for what works is a lot cheaper than spending less for what doesn't.
