chris_c._yu
I have inserted 4 fresh LR44 Alkaline battery(1.55v ) into the M7 battery compartment, but the lower decimal LED inside the viewfinder continued to blink after I pressed with a little pressure on the shutter release,is this normal? The manual did indicated that it was the low battery signal??? I don't have the 3V Lithium battery on hand so that to do a comparison.By the way,all other functions are normal. Please brighten me... robovet
I had an m7 that I purchased in jan that went through batteries very quickly. I sent it back for passport warranty work. Evidently there was a problem with the circuitry causing a constant battery drain. They replaced appropriate parts and it works fine now. Not sure if you have the same problem. markrinella
I think if there is no film in the camera the display flashes because it can't read a DX code. Maybe drop a roll in and see if the problem clears?
seb v.
Chris, Mark is exactly right. It isnt a problem, it's just telling you there's no film in th camera. It also sets to default 100asa when empty, meaning that it pretends there is 100 asa film in there, useful to know when you take meter readings with your camera before deciding which speed film to use. keirst
You really should use two 1/3N Lithium batteries, which are the kind of batteries the M7 is designed to use. Four LR44 alkalines are NOT equivalent in Power, even if they have nominally the same Voltage. I agree that decimal showing up is a different issue. If you have no film, or use a differnt ISO from the DX code on the cassette, or use exposure compensation the camera shows the flashing decimal. Ignore it. If your M7's batteries get weak, "b c" will show in the display.
