basscheffers
David: yes. There are many more "other" photographers (travel, social/wedding, commercial, fashion, etc) out there than there are photojournalists. Walking around the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in the Natural Histury Museum in London last year, the image info noted what equipment was used and I kept a count of what was shot with what. That was definitely a 50/50 split between Canon and Nikon.
vernon_collins
You can read the review of the,MEET THE NEW BOSS, Canon eos5D in December Poular Photograp,or go to www.popphoto.com.With all the L lenses I would have to use canon. The full frame sensor eliminates the 35mm lense factor and you could ues a lot of the best lenses Made. You might not have any extra money but you will have good EQ!! jonmichael
Thanks again everyone. I think I want to get a new lens for now. The 17-40/4 L seems to be what I need. The problem is 600$ is way too high. Are there any other lenses made by canon or anyone else that would be at about the same quality?
basscheffers
You could go for the Sigma 18-50/2.8, which is a bit cheaper.
