robert x
Hello there - before I go and post a load of photos all wrong and have to do it again, can someone tell me what is the best profile to have photos in for a website. I am assuming that I should convert them all to "sRGB IEC...(etc)" from my default Adobe 1998 space. Is this best - or is "Save for Web" better ? Any answers with explanations as to why would be most welcome. Thanks in advance. RX
tom_swanson
sRGB. CS3 might (might) convert them to sRGB when using save to web but previous versions do not.
godfrey
I convert to sRGB and then save as with embedded profile. G
william_john_smith1
"Save for Web" in any version of Photoshop does not change your color space, you have do that yourself.<BR>I would "Save for Web" then "Edit>Convert to Profile" choosing sRGB. Your color will change slightly as you go to a narrower color space but shouldn't be problem for the web. This way you still have your original file plus a sRGB copy for the web.
