nathaniel_pearson
Ran across this at a local non-photo store (I'm not commercially affiliated with the product):

http://www.builtny.com/sixpack.php

Clearly, it's designed not for (LT)M-lenses, but for beer bottles (Hector slurs notwithstanding). But it struck me as a potentially handy slim-profile, lightly protective tote for carrying small (read: rf) lenses in the field. The big handle loop can readily be tied to something else (e.g. a lanyard inside a backback), and the neoprene has good elastic tension for pouching my 21/4 Skopar, 50/2.8 Industar, 15/4.5 Heliar-in-case, &c. $20 is a bit pricy for the actual material involved, but it seems well made, and many folks spend far more on dedicated cases &c. Anyway, figured I'd pass along the idea.
billsr
I have a few neoprene, zippered, bottle covers that were distributed free of charge by a brewery about 20 years ago. The make excellent lens holders! Best regards, Bill
lutz
Nathaniel, while I'm severely biased, I really think this at more or less the same price is a much more practical alternative. Neoprene is sexy, though... ;o)
nathaniel_pearson
Lutz, for carrying one extra lens, a simple pouch (such as your chalkbag) works great -- and I do it all the time. Problem is, when you have several such pouches with you, some or all of which are clipped to the same lanyard/belt/&c., they can become cumbersome to deal with.

I haven't used it for long, but I suspect that, for folks who carry several lenses along but avoid 'camera bags' in favor of less conspicuous equivalents like backpacks, this sixpack thingie might prove easier to manage. Fwiw, other small items fit too -- my Minolta meter slips in nicely.

Btw, I love your finger grips -- one of the most useful accessories I've ever bought.
