mário m. rodrigues
I was trying to log in with internet explorer I kept getting blank pages(only in P.N). I installed firefox and I logged in immediatly and the pages and images are now loading faster and the image quality is better (I have a dial up connection).Does this make any sense? I mean is there a reason for it?
kbreak
No, just for kicks I fired up the old IE6 and logged in.

It must be in your box.

Have you cleared your temp files and cookies lately in IE?

btw I use the old FF1.07 AutoFill extension on FF1.5 and found another extension that lets me use all the old, non-acceptable ones...like AutoFill.
I surmise that a real AutoFill for FF1.5 will be out soon.

ZOUNDS but 1.5 is fastAR going page-back and page-forward... :)
mário m. rodrigues
I did clear the cache. After installing and using F.F. I did a spydoctor check and got a result of 25 infecions while on any other day I would get 1 or clean result, can all this be related?
mário m. rodrigues
And still no way to sign in or view more than the P.N.homepage.
bdpics
You probably blocked Pnet cookies in IE6 and now you won't be able to log in until you change that. BTW, Firefox is far more effective at dealing with unwanted cookies than IE is.
kbreak
by the way... why on Earth would you want to go back to IE anyways?
bobatkins
With a properly configured system, photo.net works just fine with IE6, Firefox and Opera. I use all three regularly and have no problems.

mário m. rodrigues
Kevin, It seems I wont be back to I.E. I just dont see a reason for this to have happened, I installed no new software and I have done nothing different in software or system configurations, so not accessening from I.E seems strange to me. david_h._hartman
MᲩo,

For a long time I used IE 5.1 SP-2 and had no problems with infections. Zero made it past my anti-virus protection. I finally tried IE 6, SP-1 and got infected within a few days so I went back to IE 5.1, SP2.

I downloaded FireFox about 3 to 5 hours after it was first on-line as full release product. I still have IE 5.1 SP2 on my computers, you cant really run windows without it, I still will not install IE 6, SP1 on my Windows 2000 computers and only use IE when I must such as to use Windows update. I use FireFox exclusively for web surfing and greatly prefer it.

Regards,

Dave Hartman.
kbreak
Mario, there are tons more ppl smarter than I on this here site, but I'd be curious: can you access sites on IE like, eBay, hotmail, msn, or any sites that require a login on the frontpage?

david_h._hartman
Is photo.net ever going to fix the problems with character translation? Like this: M?o I did not see this on the confirm page or I would have corrected it. I only see this problem on photo.net.
mário m. rodrigues
Kevin, thats what is strange, I logged in to msn messenger and my hotmail and other mail box, I only had that problem with P.N.

mário m. rodrigues
Kevin, I have been using spydoctor, Microsft antyspyware, and spy bot, they detected some spyware and it has been removed, I will now make a virus search, If this isnt enough I will take your suggestion, I have given up trying to understand why IE doest log to P.N. I will use Firefox(even the images look better) thanks for your help. Regards.

yann_r.
IE6 is included in windows systems, doesn't need to be perfect cause anyway 80% of users will use it without looking for something different.
Firefox is better.
