Leica M5 Grip

Anyone know if any M grips---third party or otherwise---will fit an

M5 body.

Mate how big are your bloomin hands if you can't keep hold of an M5 without a bolt-on grip.

I prefer a grip for walk around shooting, and am considering an M3, M5, M6 for purchase (previously used M7 and M3 for about 1 year). My hands are average to thick with somewhat short fingers. A little help here!

I've never seen a grip for the m5.

I have a 3 lug and a 2 lug, and I bought m5 case for the 2 lug because I don't care for the side mounted strap.

The case makes an already large camera a little bigger, however it does give it something to grip on to. I also discovered last winter that an all metal Leica body can be surprisingly cold, and the case prevents my hands from freezing to the camera.

I know Luigi (www.leicatime.com) recently released a half-case for the M5. I'm sure on a special order he could fit a grip onto one for you.

So the short answer is the M grips simply do not fit the M5 body? Is the tripod mount hole not in the same position for all M cameras?

It's that HUGE baseplate on the M5 that keeps satndard M winders/motors/grips/cases from fitting ;-0.

That Huge Baseplate??? O,c'mon you guys,the M5 Is not That much bigger than any other M. And it is the best M ever made. Put an M5 next to a small Dslr,doesn't look so big now,does it? But,now I'm off topic-sorry. Luigi has half cases with built in grips,about a third of the way down the cases page http://www.leicatime.com email him and ask if one will fit the M5,but I really don't think you will need it. As for cold fingers,ever heard of wearing thin gloves under your mittens? Try it. Hope this helps.
