harry_zet
a local photoshop nearby has one for sale, complete with battery and charger: while i understand that the planar 3,5/100 is a great lens, i wonder about the automatic diaphragm control unit: how long will the battery last once fully charged? is it worth the bulk? it sure looks cool. price would be 1200 dollars for all, including magazine and case. good deal? q.g._de_bakker
Harry,

According to Hasselblad literature, the drain on the accu is 20 mA, with the aperture not moving. The 500-series accu will last approximately 24 hours (capacity of the accu being 500 mA).
Of course, if changing light makes the thing react, the drain is much higher, about 150 mA. So if the aperture is constantly moving, the same accu will be empty in approximately 3 hours.

Is it worth it? If you need hands-off automatic exposure, yes. As a 'special' thing to have too.
For everyday, 'normal' use, the regular 100 mm will be lots more convenient.
