jlkphoto
I've acquired an old Rolleiflex MX-EVS with the Xenar 3.5f 75mm. I got several filters and other accessories with the camera. I know this lens takes "Bay I" sized accessories but here is my question: How are the Rolleinar sizes shown on the newer two-piece items? I only have an older three-piece Rolleinar 2 that has a red "R" in script on the rim. There is no "I," "II," or "III" after the "R." However, when I look on EBAY at newer two-piece Rolleinars, I see in red script, one of the following on each Rolleinar: "R I" "R II" "R III" Does the above translate to Bay I, Bay II, Bay III? If the rim of a Rolleinar has "Heidosmat-Rolleinar 3 RII," is that a "Bay II" size?
richard_laepple
Yes, R I = bay I, R II = bay II, R III = bay III. BTW the "R" comes from "Rollei bayonet".
