ilia
What is the lens mount on Contax Contaflex 126(circa 1971)? Is it mechanically compatible with modern contax SLR mount lenses/cameras? Are there any adaptors out there? I've got "standard" 45/2.8 lens for free and trying to figure out if anybody makes an adaptor to use it on EOS body. m_elek
It's a proprietary mount. I don't think I've ever seen an adapter. Once could probably be made, but the cost to make just one would be very high. There is no aperture or focusing ring on the lens, and unmounted, the aperture closes to its smallest setting. So the adapter would need to also have an aperture ring and have a focusing helical as well.
davepearman
There's no standard adapter available, and to see how complex it would have to be, check out this one (for the Kodak Retina Reflex and Voigtlander Bessamatic/Ultramatic): http://www.cameraquest.com/adapt_deckel.htm If you just want to experiment, you might be able to bodge something up from a plastic EOS body cap? Unlike the 35mm Contaflex cameras which had convertible lenses (some elements remain in the body), I believe that the 126 types were fully interchangeable, so should be usable. chalka_lait
I just brought a 32/f2.8 modified lens. It uses a sigma lens barrel, and fit to my Nikon body. Not fully tested yet, but it seems to me metering is not so accurate with aperture widely only. Maybe that's because the len size is in fact, smaller than 135 format.
