Nikon SB-80DX diffuser

Just a helpful note to help avoid someone else falling for the same

trap. I bought a used SB-80DX flash and it didn't come with the

Nikon SW-10H diffuser. In good faith, I bought a Stofen diffuser,

supposedly matched to that speedlight, but in practice it fits about

as well as a bar of soap in a clenched fist. Make the same mistake

if you wish, but I'd recommend paying just that little bit more for

the real article that clicks into place really neatly - you can even

pick the flash up by the diffuser,

Suggest a bit of gaffer tape on each edge: the Stofen cap should fit OK. (The Stofen cap on a SB-28 or SB-28DX fits well.)

I have both domes and kind of prefer the Soften. It does take some effort to put it on, ture. But on the other hand, its design allows for upside down installation which doesn't force a 14mm coverage setting. With SW-10H you don't have that choice, it fits only one way and that will trigger a 14mm setting.
