andreatau
Ian, It is indeed the middle of the summer here in Antarctica and temperatures are now rarely under -10 deg Celsius, with some melting occcurring at low elevations. Nowadays the internet is a reality even down here. It goes with satellites like telecomuncations, but not via expensive Iridium or similar. So basically it's cost-free once the satellite facilities have been installed and deals with sat companies made. Good for those folks who overwinter at the stations, in particular.. A few more photos? A post titled "Your Photos" in Street & Documentary. ciao
